The Imperative

After I was chased into death, gunned down and suffocated in the mud of the river - I rose away from my body.

The war machines stopped

The railway ties split

The lovers were united

The broken glass ceased its sting

The animals were fed

As I rose from my body, I joined in the chorus of myriad voices singing:

This is the sound of a mountain

This is the sound of a mountain

/// Some words scribbled down upon waking from the same dream. The T-shirt graphic is hand-drawn by me - a human. Call it what you want - late-stage c@pital!sm, neocoloni@l!sm, the milit@ry industr!al complex, the p@tr!arachy - let’s normalize calling out and dismantling the dysfunctional status quo in all the ways that we can. ///

I’ve made a small print run of these t-shirts, available in S, M, L on 100% cotton for $40. All profits go towards supporting the XAXE TEṈEW̱ Sacred Land Society’s Rematriate Stewardship Project. “Rematriate Stewardship Project is an initiative for Land Back to house Saltwater Salish women within our territory, to protect our right to learn our language, how to care for our land and water, heal through culture and being on the land and water, and to teach younger generations and our community these skills.”
